Description
Essential RE: Society explores the dark and light sides of the nature of religion, and their effects in society, from values, to conflicts, to encouragement and acceptance of diversity. It looks at traditions, beliefs, and the intolerance that is often shown towards them.
The evaluative question is about whether or not religion is good for society. This allows students to engage with the complexities of the question, using their own experiences and understanding to develop their opinions.
